Launch an Eventbrite Ads campaign

With Eventbrite Ads you can pay to advertise your event across Eventbrite's site and mobile apps. Public events automatically appear on Eventbrite, but when you create an Eventbrite Ad, your event may be prominently featured on Eventbrite's homepage, category pages, similar events, and search results. Placement varies by event and is also based on user behavior. Make sure your event meets our Ads Guidelines before you start your first campaign.

  • Create your Eventbrite Ad campaign

Create your Eventbrite Ad campaign

  1. Go to Marketing Tools.

  2. Select Eventbrite Ads.

  3. Select Create an Eventbrite Ad.

If you want to use the same settings as a campaign you've already created, select the View more actions button (three dots) next to that campaign, and choose Duplicate campaign details.

Select your event

Your next event is automatically selected. If you want to advertise a different event, select the event for the event preview list, and choose the event you want to promote.

If you have a recurring event, select the entire event series.

If your event doesn’t appear on the menu, make sure it meets the location and currency requirements.

Set an objective

Objectives let you determine how your ad budget is used based on how you want your campaign to perform. Choose between:

  • Increase awareness: Maximize the number of people who see your ad. Choose this objective to focus on increasing views.

  • Drive traffic: Show your ad to people most likely to engage with it. This objective considers users' previous actions to ensure it's relevant to their interests.

Campaign objectives can’t be changed after you launch. You must pause or end your existing campaign, and create a new campaign to choose a different objective.

Build your ad

Decide how long you want to run your campaign and how much you want to spend each day.

To pick a different daily budget, select Customize and enter your amount. Your budget determines how often your ad is featured on Eventbrite. When you set a higher budget, your ad may get more impressions, and you’re more likely to experience better results.

Target a location

By default, your ad campaign will target impressions up to a 50 mile (80 kilometers) radius centered on your event location. If your event is not located in one of the available markets, you can choose one within 150 miles (240 kilometers) of the event location.

For online events, your ads will target people across your country unless you target a location.

If you'd like to adjust your ad campaign location targeting settings, update your Area, Location, and Radius. Your radius must be at least 10 miles (16 kilometers) and can't be more than 50 miles (80 kilometers).

Preview your ad

An example of your ad will appear under Preview. Select Preview your ad for a visual of your ad.

Your ad could appear in the following places on Eventbrite:

  • Search results - your ad displays at the top of a search result when someone enters keywords related to your event.

  • Homepage - your ad displays on the Eventbrite homepage when someone is looking for events in your area.

  • Category page - your ad displays on one of our themed pages if the event’s date or content falls under a specific category like Halloween or Music.

  • Similar events - your ad displays on the related events section of events like yours.

  • iOS Mobile app - your ad displays on the Eventbrite mobile app feed.

Enter a payment method

Review the estimated cost of your campaign, enter your payment information, and select Save payment method.

If you already have a card in your account, you can use it or select Edit for a different payment method.

Launch your campaign

Agree to the Eventbrite Ads Terms of Service and Ad Content Guidelines, then select Launch campaign to begin your campaign.

Your ad will be “Pending” until it’s approved by Eventbrite’s Trust and Safety team. Once approved, your campaign will be "Live."

NOTE: If your campaign has been pending for more than 24 hours, contact us.
