Eventbrite is seeing its largest consumer audience in over three years — and that number is only growing.
Last year, more than 200 million people searched for things to do on Eventbrite, with more than 90 million of those buying tickets to unique and local events around the world. This surge is thanks to the event organizers like you who make Eventbrite, Eventbrite. You created over 5 million events in 2022 and sold 284 million tickets across 180 countries.
That’s a lot of people from every walk of life — all of them with diverse interests and backgrounds. Whether you’re a band hosting an impromptu live performance with new fans and old (hello, Neil Frances), or hosting a natural wine tasting and car show event (yes, this is a thing), ultimately, it all starts with this: how you Find Your People. Because what’s an event without attendees?
For any event organizer, the best way to ensure event growth is by appealing to and connecting with new audiences that are genuinely interested in the events you have to offer.
How Eventbrite drives demand for our event organizers
As the world’s largest and most-trusted events marketplace, we help creators hosting events on our platform get matched with the right event-goer, at the right time. As a result, creators get discovered by the people most likely to buy tickets.
- Over 30% of tickets purchased on our platform are now driven by Eventbrite discovery via our marketplace, consumer app, and newsletters — the highest-ever share of Eventbrite-driven demand in Eventbrite history
- Almost one in five events received more than 50% of ticket sales from Eventbrite-driven demand
In 2022, we launched over 60+ consumer and creator facing products and features that helped Eventbrite become the leading demand driver for events.
Here’s how we made it easier for event-goers on Eventbrite to find and score tickets to events
- Through enhanced personalization and event recommendations in our marketplace based on attendee interests, which has led to 9x more consumer engagement across event pages.
- Through making checkout a whole lot faster. We added more payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay, which have driven 2X more conversions compared to the industry average.
- Through automated event notifications that remind fans to buy tickets when they like or follow your events.
Here’s how we strengthened marketing for event organizers to sell more tickets
On the creator-product front, we helped you take your marketing to the next level by expanding your reach even further to new audiences in order to sell more tickets. We did this in a number of ways:
- With the launch of Eventbrite Ads, you can now promote your event across Eventbrite in seconds, and get 14x more event visibility on our homepage, related events, search results, and more. Now available in 20 markets.
- Events promoted using premium marketing tools, such as our integrated email marketing and social media ad tools, sold 63% more tickets.*
- We’ve simplified the process of creating ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram using Eventbrite’s exclusive data that matches you with the right people for your events, as well as AI-generated ad copy that helps convert viewers into ticket buyers.
- We launched newly redesigned event pages that include enhancements, such as urgency labels to create attendee FOMO, as well as new event sections where creators can add an FAQ, Agenda, and up to 10 main header images.
Finding Your People is the key to growing your events and building your community, and we’re committed to helping creators host their events and attendees find them.
Globally, 61% of Gen Y and 63% of Gen Z say they’ll be at more events in 2023. And creators are taking advantage of this wave of demand — Eventbrite has more creators than ever before. That’s why we’ve focused on making it easier to be an event creator. It takes only a few steps to create an event and start selling tickets.
